Our debut series is titled Pediatric Emergency Medicine (PEM) Podcasts, which intends to educate, enlighten and inform. Join host Robert A. Belfer, MD, a Pediatric Emergency Medicine physician at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia as he chats with local, regional, national and international leaders in the fields of Pediatric Emergency Medicine, Neurology, Surgery, Radiology, Intensive Care, Infectious Disease and others who will offer insights into the latest clinical updates and innovations in Pediatric Emergency Medicine.
This month, we’re featuring the CHOP Home Care Ventilation Program, created to support the education of caregivers for the transition of complex ventilated patients from the inpatient setting to home. The target audience for this training is caregivers, parents and private duty nurses who support patients on home ventilators.
We’ve partnered with physicians from Dermatology and the Emergency Department at CHOP to prepare clinical pearl modules on a monthly basis. The DermED Monthly Cases test the learner’s ability to diagnose conditions based on images and case examples from the Emergency Department at CHOP. The module includes a multiple choice quiz as well as a compare and contrast section to differentiate between similar conditions.
This month, we’re featuring the updated Developmental & Behavioral Pediatrics lecture set recently posted to CHOP OPEN. This virtual seminar was delivered in partnership with the Open Medical Institute from June 1 – 3, 2021. Learn about topics such as ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and Developmental, Language and Learning Disorders.
