Individuals and families continue to face barriers in diagnosis and coordinated management of the complex conditions that arise as a consequence of leukodystrophy. This virtual symposium will provide up-to-date information on the best diagnostic and disease management practices, with an emphasis on how to provide comprehensive patient- and family-centered care for the various clinical conditions frequently seen in children with leukodystrophy through a coordinated approach. This symposium is ideal for physicians who serve as the primary care medical home for patients with leukodystrophy as well as other pediatric specialists who play an essential role in delivering coordinated care, including pediatric gastroenterologists, nutritionists, pulmonologists, respiratory therapists, speech-language pathologists and orthopedists.
