La Sociedad Dominicana de Neurología y Neurocirugía en conjunto con el Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia CHOP, tienen el placer de invitarlos a la charla “Neurogenética, la próxima frontera” donde se va a discutir la evaluación genética de los pacientes con epilepsia, incluyendo las pruebas que se solicitan basadas en los síntomas del paciente.

Doctora Pamela Pojomovsky McDonnell, MD, es neuróloga pedíatra en la División de Neurología del Hospital de Niños de Filadelfia (CHOP). Ella se especializa en ayudar a niños con epilepsia y está entusiasmada con los nuevos desarrollos en genética que algún día podrían predecir el curso de la epilepsia e identificar tratamientos mas certeros.

Doctora Evelyn Lora -Alvarez es pediatra neuróloga egresada del Hospital Infantil Federico Gómez en México. Es egresada del Hospital Infantil Robert Reid Cabral en la República Dominicana. Ejerce en la actualidad el cargo de Presidente de la Sociedad Dominicana de Neurología y Neurocirugía.

The Dominican Society of Neurology and Neurosurgery in conjunction with the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) are pleased to invite you to view this talk: “Neurogenetics, The Next Frontier,” where we discussed genetic testing of patients with epilepsy, including tests that are requested according to patients’ symptoms.

Doctor Pamela Pojomovsky McDonnell, MD, is a pediatric neurologist in the Division of Neurology of Children’s Hospital of Pennsylvania (CHOP). She specializes in helping children with epilepsy and is interested in the newest developments in genetics that may some day predict the course of epilepsy and identify targeted treatments.

Doctor Evelyn Lora Alvarez is a pediatric neurologist, and is an alumna of Children’s Hospital Federico Gómez in Mexico and Robert Reid Cabral Hospital in the Dominican Republic. She is current president of the Dominican Society of Neurology and Neurosurgery.

This seminar focuses on neurology and was delivered at a virtual event titled, Neurogenetica, La Proxima Fontera, on April 22, 2021.
