Jacqueline Kreutzer, MD, FPICS, FACC, FSCAI, FAHA is the Peter and Ada Rossin Endowed Professor and Chair in Pediatric Cardiology, Division Chief of Pediatric Cardiology, Co-Director of the Heart Institute at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, and Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. She has over 30 years of experience in pediatric and congenital catheter intervention. Originally from Argentina, she received her medical degree from the University of Buenos Aires Medical School, completed training in cardiac pathology at Harvard Medical School-Boston Children’s Hospital, pediatrics at the University of Florida Affiliated Hospital and fellowship in pediatric cardiology at the Harvard Medical School-Boston Children’s Hospital. She was faculty at Boston Children’s Hospital (1995-2000) and then Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (2000-05), after which she became Director of the Cardiac Cath Lab at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh (2005). In 2017, Dr. Kreutzer was appointed Division Chief and Co-Director of the Heart Institute. Over the years she has contributed extensively to the field, especially in the areas of Novel catheter/device technology, animal testing & clinical trials; Single ventricle, interventional therapies and outcomes; Transcatheter management of peripheral pulmonary artery stenosis; Cardiac catheterization Outcomes Research and Quality Improvement; and Transcatheter valve therapies.
