Arthur Garrison is a published scholar on issues of race, crime, criminal justice history, and Supreme Court jurisprudence on presidential power in times national security crisis. He is a full professor of criminal justice at Kutztown University and his writings have been published in various academic journals including the Georgetown Journal of Law & Public Policy, the University of Pennsylvania Journal of Constitutional Law, the Georgetown Journal of Law & Public Policy, and the Journal of Supreme Court History, ranging from program evaluation to the role of Christianity in American legal history.
Before his academic career, he was a program director for criminal justice policy and conducted program evaluations for state criminal justice programs in Delaware. Dr. Garrison has spoken at both regional and national criminal justice conferences and has provided consultations on issues of race and crime to various government and non-profit organizations.
In addition to his academic work, he frequently writes for mainstream audiences on contemporary political and social issues in opinion columns for the Reading Eagle and the Morning Call.
